African Grocery & Takeaway – A Flavour-Filled Celebration

Step inside Moda African Grocery, Clothing & Gift Shop and you’ll be greeted by Rose—warm, vibrant, and as full of colour and energy as her store. At the heart of Moda is an incredible African grocery selection. Every shelf is packed with flavour and tradition: from fufu flour, chilli bite mix, rices, plantain, instant maize porridge, palm soup base, Arome seasoning, fragrant spice blends, and tinned staples like sardines. The popular OUMA rusk and beskuit range is stocked in full, while the drinks fridge overflows with African favourites like Mazoe, Vita Malt, tamarind drink, OROS, and warming ginger beer. You’ll also find bulk teas like Wagh Bakri, matcha latte, and ginger blends—perfect for home brews full of comfort and culture. Moda is more than a food stop—it’s a celebration of African culture. Alongside the pantry essentials, you’ll find bold, beautiful clothing from Ghana, jewellery, baskets, cushions, wall hangings, musical instruments, and a standout range of African haircare products. From August 1st, Rose is also serving authentic African takeaway between 11am and 3pm. Expect generous bowls of Jollof Rice with chicken and egg stew, rich Waakye with beef, spaghetti and gari, or soul-warming Fufu & Soup.
